We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Associate to join our team at Dr Khuroo's Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced primary care environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical procedures, including wound care, ECGs, and venepuncture. They will be responsible for supporting the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake new patient health checks and routine baseline observations, such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
  • Support the practice nurse with health promotion programs, chronic disease clinics, and BMI checks.
  • Assist with wound care, dressings, and other clinical tasks as required.
  • Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Working experience in a primary care environment.
  • Healthcare NVQ level 3 or 4 or working towards it.
  • Venepuncture Certification.

Desirable:

  • Phlebotomy qualification.
  • Spirometry, Chronic Disease management, Competent in using EMIS clinical system.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
