Electrical Workshop Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Workshop Technician to join our team at Centurion Group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day workshop duties, including the test and maintenance of company equipment, build and commissioning of new equipment, modification, and upgrades.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase electrical switchgear, and experience with hydraulic power units.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, tested, and upgraded in accordance with system and OEM procedures.
- Conduct inventories of equipment and ensure stock levels are maintained and reordered when necessary.
- Assist the workshop team in the maintenance and preparation of systems prior to deployment.
- Ensure all activities are carried out with the highest regard to quality, health, safety, and the environment.
- Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure the workshop work area is kept clean, presentable, and safe.
- Industrial electrical experience, preferably with voltages up to 440 Volts AC.
- Understanding of 3-phase electrical switchgear, including fault diagnosis.
- Build and test of 3-phase electrical panels.
- Experience with hydraulic power units, including testing and fault diagnosis of electrical components.
- Good standard of practical application and knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and components.
- Basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft Word.
- ONC/HNC/Apprenticeship/City and Guilds within an electronic/electrical discipline.
- Time served industry experience within an electronic/electrical role.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
