About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream Primary School in Croydon. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have been diagnosed or are presenting traits of SEN, providing individualized support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet the needs of children with SEN
  • Monitor and record progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and self-esteem of all students
Requirements
  • A 2:1 or higher degree classification in an Education or Psychology field
  • Excellent academic record at GCSE and A-Level
  • Passionate about helping young people to fulfill their potential
  • Calm, understanding, and resilient personality
  • Able to commit to working in a school until at least July 2024
