Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join our team at Mansell Recruitment Group. As an Assistant Production Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the production process and ensuring that all activities are coordinated to meet the quality standards and demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Oversee the production process to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available for production
  • Assist in streamlining the production process to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Prepare and present reports on performance and progress to senior management
  • Oversee the safe use of equipment and ensure that any damaged equipment is repaired promptly
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Manage a team of 8 staff on a day-to-day basis

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar production role within a manufacturing or engineering organization
  • Previous experience within a battery manufacturer is beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet time constraints
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A results-driven approach and strong IT skills

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with 3 breaks totaling 1 hour

Holiday entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays, with 3 days reserved for between Christmas and New Year

Salary:

Up to £32,000 per annum, with a monthly bonus paid in arrears
