About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Natalie Wells Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to our directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee financial reporting, including management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the management team, ensuring informed business decisions
  • Manage a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with experience in group consolidations, budget preparation, and liaising with auditors
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of finance professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Autonomy and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
What We Offer
  • Salary in line with qualification and experience, c. £57,000 - £70,000
  • Office-based role with flexibility to work from home two days per week once established
