Senior Infrastructure Engineer (DV Security Clearance)

Position Overview
CGI's Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit is a leading IT Systems Integrator. We deliver bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems that help our clients keep us all safe and secure. Our team brings innovation to clients using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes, and deep expertise across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace, and maritime, all underpinned by our end-to-end cyber capability.

Due to the secure nature of the project, all applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (DV) level. This position will require onsite attendance in Gloucester.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will become an integral part of our collaborative team, united by a shared dedication to a transformative IT infrastructure program of utmost importance. This initiative brings together over 100 of our top-tier UK consultants, pooling our expertise to engineer resilient, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure solutions for our esteemed government client.

- Seamlessly integrate development outputs into release modules
- Spearhead the progression of outputs through relevant stages into operational service
- Navigate the release-to-service process, including security and accreditation procedures
- Provide invaluable technical insights and expertise on designs, solutions, tools, techniques, and standards
- Develop pragmatic solutions for real-world challenges
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve incidents

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Windows and/or Redhat Linux server administration
- Expertise in configuration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Foreman
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Command over virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenShift
- Sound grasp of network fundamentals encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP
- Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, PowerShell, and Bash
