Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardening Assistant to join our team at Katherine Shields Private Staff Ltd. The successful candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of a 15-acre private garden
  • Work alongside the principals, who are also keen gardeners, to ensure the garden reaches its full potential
  • Operate and maintain garden machinery
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a wildflower meadow, woodland garden, and herbaceous borders
  • Assist with the care of rhododendron bushes and shrubs

Requirements:

  • 16 hours per week, flexible days and hours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use garden machinery and equipment
  • Flexibility and adaptability

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary, negotiable according to experience, around £30 per hour gross
