Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sanitation Team Member and contribute to the success of our company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our food manufacturing facility.

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
    • Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitizing tasks for equipment, tools, and food contact areas according to SSOPs.
    • Ensure all cleaning meets strict HACCP, GMP, and CFIA standards for food safety and quality.
    • Use approved chemicals in the correct concentrations and apply them as per SSOP guidelines.
  • Pre-Operational Inspections:
    • Participate in pre-operational inspections of cleaned equipment and production areas to ensure readiness for production.
    • Address any deficiencies identified during inspections to prevent delays and ensure a smooth production process.
    • Notify the Sanitation Lead of any equipment, chemical, or procedural issues that may impact production.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Follow all safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment to minimize risks and protect yourself and others.
    • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new protocols.

Requirements

  • A previous experience in a food manufacturing or sanitation role is an asset but not required.
  • A basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety principles is an asset.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment is preferred.

Work Environment

  • You will be working in a wet and cold environment typical of food manufacturing facilities.
  • You must adhere to all PPE and hygiene requirements to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
