Create and Deliver Opera Programmes

About the Role

We are seeking Programme Artists to deliver teacher training and opera programmes for schools across the UK. As a Programme Artist, you will work alongside our team to create and deliver opera programmes that engage young people in creative learning and give voice to their creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver teacher training and opera programmes to schools across the UK
  • Work alongside our team to create and develop opera education programmes
  • Engage with schools and teachers to promote our opera and music education programmes
  • Collaborate with national partner organisations to deliver our programmes

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in leading opera or singing-based music and drama projects with children and young people of mixed abilities
  • A strong understanding of the music and/or drama education landscape in schools and the role the arts play in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Experience in training others in your specialism
  • A passion for musical storytelling and its potential within a wider learning context
  • Excellent workshop leadership and verbal communication skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive sessional fee of £45 per hour for the delivery of a session on a PAYE basis through payroll. This is a project-based opportunity with a combination of virtual and in-person delivery and some weekend work. Travel to Covent Garden and other locations will be necessary.
