Senior Controls & Automation Engineer

We are working with an established Machines Manufacturer based in the UK.

They are recruiting for a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary

The applicant will be required to work on the full life cycle of projects with a focus on customer and aftersales technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers and service engineers with technical queries via email and remote access.
  • Travel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally worldwide for breakdowns, software modifications, and customer training.
  • Create electrical BOMs using Microsoft Navision.
  • Design electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Design new PLC and HMI software and modify existing software.
  • Commissioning and testing machines in the factory in preparation for FATs.
  • Write operation and maintenance manuals.
Requirements
  • Electrical and software design experience.
  • AutoCAD experience (ideally AutoCAD Electrical).
  • PLC and HMI writing experience in any of the following: Strong technical document writing skills using Microsoft Office products.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and travel worldwide.
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
