Job Description:

Licence to operate in the local authority sector, Lichfield West Midlands Traded Services Limited (LWMTS), is a specialist trading company that provides recruitment solutions to local authorities and businesses.

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader with expertise in managing compliance for social housing properties, including fire safety, legionella management, electrical and gas services, asbestos control, and lift maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring legislative compliance and providing reports to senior managers and external regulatory bodies as required.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Efficiently manage and report on legislative compliance
  • Provide reports for senior managers and external regulatory bodies as needed
  • Develop procedures to demonstrate actions taken to maintain compliance, with electronic records kept for easy retrieval
  • Manage, evaluate, and control contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure an efficient, compliant service across Asset Management, Housing Repairs, and Housing as a whole
  • Work with Internal Repairs Team managers to agree programs of work for the housing stock
  • Manage, evaluate, and control resource performance involved in delivering legislative compliance
  • Maintain electronic records demonstrating conformity with legislative regulations in all areas

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong project, contract, and risk management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to resolve complex situations and deal with complaints professionally
  • Proven leadership skills to inspire, motivate, and encourage others
  • Education to degree or equivalent level in a relevant subject, such as Housing, Construction, or Building

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
