Senior Highway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic highway engineer to join our Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Team at Lancashire County Council. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and influence the future of transportation at a forward-thinking local authority.

About the Role

This diverse role involves working closely with other engineers, transport, spatial, and environmental planners to plan, design, and deliver major highway infrastructure and active travel improvements across the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop designs and support the delivery of highway scheme proposals
  • Work on a number of projects at any given time, developing designs and supporting the delivery of highway scheme proposals
  • Collaborate with other engineers, transport, spatial, and environmental planners to plan, design, and deliver major highway infrastructure and active travel improvements
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a passion for highway design and a relevant qualification or substantial vocational experience in highway design or similar. You will have experience of undertaking design work for highways schemes and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
