Job Summary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant - EAL to support the English language development of students in our client schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to EAL students to enhance their English language skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters language development and academic success.
  • Assist EAL students in understanding and completing classroom tasks and assignments, promoting their academic growth and progress.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support EAL students in overcoming language barriers and achieving their full potential.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant - EAL or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by EAL students and effective strategies to support their learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and staff.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
