Royal Museums Greenwich is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our historic sites, ensuring a welcoming environment for our visitors.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to lift and move heavy objects. You will be required to work a rota pattern, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts averaging 3.5 hours between 7am and 10.30am.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all areas, including public and staff toilets, floors, doors, lifts, staircases, kitchens, and tea stations.
  • Empty bins, handle chemicals and cleaning agents, and replenish consumable items as required.
  • Use industrial cleaning equipment, such as buffing machines and scrubber dryers, to deep clean areas as needed.
  • Report any sightings of pests, damage, or wear and tear to management.
  • Follow and implement health and safety regulations and demonstrate excellent customer care skills.
