About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive school environment. As part of our team at GSL Education, you will play a vital role in promoting student engagement and motivation while collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to ensure seamless support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in special education.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with SEN students or training in special education.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Education.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registration (or willingness to apply).
