Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our recruitment agency, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  4. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to ensure seamless support.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in special education.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with SEN students or training in special education.
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Education.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Knowledge of various SEN conditions.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registration (or willingness to apply).
