About the RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our team based in Bishopstoke. As part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities in the UK and North European markets, directly handling sales activities for major power transmission cable projects, involving both offshore and onshore connections.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop business opportunities in the market, from project initiation to contract closure.
- Coordinate offer preparation, leading the bid team, and ensuring governance in commercial and risk management.
- Lead contract negotiations, coordinating offer clarifications with the wider team.
- Gain a detailed knowledge of the market, its characteristics, and trends, understanding clients, competitors, and market stakeholders.
- Work closely with the regional Business Director to assess and prioritize opportunities, defining achievable sales goals and developing a deliverable business strategy.
- Ideal education to degree level in a relevant business or engineering discipline.
- Sound understanding and experience in a project or solution sales environment.
- Preferably working experience or good understanding of the power transmission infrastructure business, with familiarity of the cables industry.
- Experience in dealing with complex and high-value turnkey/EPC bids.
- Strong business acumen or experience in developing relations with customers.
- Problem-solving attitude and target-oriented mentality, recognizing and managing identified risks.
- Good communications skills, able to act as the company interface with customers and third parties.
