Bladder and Bowel Care Specialist Nurse for Children

About the Role
The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Specialist Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Team, you will play a vital role in providing education and training to Early Years settings to promote healthy bladders and bowels in children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide training and education to Early Years settings on the support and care of children with continence issues.
- Develop and implement structured toileting programs for individual children with additional needs.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and staff to provide proactive advice and support for toilet training.
- Collaborate with the Specialist Paediatric Bladder and Bowel Care Nurse to ensure seamless care and support for children and families.
Requirements
- Experience in paediatric continence care and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development and continence issues.
