About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our care team at Cherrybrook Care Home. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Empowering Independence: Assist residents with their daily routines, promoting independence and dignity.
- Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
- Championing Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
About You
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
- Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
- Values: You bring integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork to everything you do.
