Job Description

Armstrong Knight is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead the integration of our Sage Eque II real-time group management system. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and providing accurate and timely financial reporting to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Integration: Take ownership of the integration of Sage Eque II, working closely with our Finance Director to ensure a seamless transition and optimal system performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management accounts and reports to the Group Finance Director, highlighting key financial trends and areas for improvement.
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and support to our operational divisions, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Group Finance Manager to develop and implement effective financial processes and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a group reporting structure, with a focus on divisional performance and overall group performance.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and IT skills, with expertise in Sage accounting products and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of the construction industry contracting market and the ability to provide commercial guidance and support.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
