About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Human Factors Consultant to join our team in the Technology and Cyber Solutions Business. As a Human Factors Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients reduce the risks associated with human error and ensure that their systems and processes are designed with users in mind.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Human Factors Integration activities to support multi-disciplinary design projects, working collaboratively with other technical disciplines.
  • Produce high-quality Human Factors analyses and studies, liaising with Subject Matter Experts and safety professionals.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports to meet project and client requirements.
  • Plan and manage work to meet technical, budget, and programme requirements to ensure client satisfaction.
What You'll Need

We are looking for an individual with prior experience in user interface design, ergonomic assessments, safety critical task analysis, safety case support, substantiation of operator action, or human reliability in a high-hazard sector. Alternatively, we will consider high-calibre candidates without prior Human Factors experience who have significant relevant sector experience and are looking to move into a Human Factors role.

You will need to demonstrate an understanding of Human Factors principles and their application in high-hazard concepts. The team benefits from Jacobs' flexible working and are located across the UK. Applicants will be considered across multiple locations. Options to travel to client sites and premises, both UK and internationally, are available depending on the project.
