Job Title: Microbiologist

The Microbiologist plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products by analyzing sterile and non-sterile materials. This position works under supervision and provides technical support to the laboratory facility in Microbiology Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cooperate with the audit team to ensure effective and efficient audit processes.
  • Complete documentation as directed by procedure and maintain accurate records.
  • Report faults and process failures, and take appropriate remedial action.
  • Perform routine microbiological analysis, including microbial limit testing, sterility testing, and organism identification.
  • Prepare media and perform preservative efficacy testing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Investigate out-of-trend (OOT) or out-of-specification (OOS) results and achieve the required level of accuracy.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment log books and perform daily and weekly housekeeping activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of microbiological principles and practices.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a laboratory environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Environment:

The Microbiologist will work in a laboratory environment, with regular exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazards. The position requires the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
