About the Role

Talent Curve Recruitment is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our client's team in Belfast. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to improve operational efficiency and streamline production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation systems for production and manufacturing processes.
  • Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to optimize operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate automation solutions.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
