Job Opportunity

Old Road Medical Practice is seeking a skilled General Practitioner in Surgery to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers the chance to provide high-quality care and support to a diverse patient group, with flexibility in session availability based on the successful applicant's needs.

This position encompasses all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, repeat prescription management, and timely completion of paperwork, reports, and correspondence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertaking various tasks such as conducting surgeries, phone consultations, visiting patients at home, processing repeat prescriptions, and managing queries and paperwork in a timely manner;
  • Making professional decisions regarding presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organization;
  • Assessing patients' healthcare needs for undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems;
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness;
  • Developing care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols;
  • Providing health education;
  • Collecting data for audit purposes and meeting QOF requirements;
  • Preparing and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions;
  • All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

We are an established practice located in the heart of Clacton on Sea, offering a range of services and collaborating closely with the Clacton Primary Care Network.

Benefits

The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and is expected to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, commensurate with NHS pay scales. The contract type is permanent, with flexible working options available, including full-time, part-time, and job-sharing arrangements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
