Financial Controller - Supply Chain

Direct Response Employment Services is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join their dynamic team based in Frome. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Finance & Administration Director and wider management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  2. Lead a team of 5 and oversee all aspects of finance across both UK sites, ensuring compliance with internal, group, and external audit requirements.
  3. Produce long-term plans, budgets, and forecasts to analyze the company's performance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and annual management and financial reports, including year-end statutory accounts.
  5. Monitor and analyze cost performance and KPIs versus budget and standards.
  6. Develop and maintain a good understanding of IT systems and software, with proficiency in MS Excel.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified/Part Qualified with a recognized professional accounting body (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE, accompanied by a good general standard of education.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to commercial, operational, and non-finance staff.
  3. Experience of credit and transactional management, with the ability to prioritize and organize a large workload.
  4. Experience of working in a FMCG manufacturing environment, with 24/7 activity an advantage.
