Role Overview

The Brokerage and Investigations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the business by administering brokerage rates for Global Broking in Europe. This involves working closely with the team to ensure the accurate documentation, maintenance, and investigation of queries related to brokerage fees.

Key Responsibilities

Brokerage Management

  • Develop and maintain central documentation for all brokerage rates
  • Ensure the proper documentation and storage of agreed brokerage rates, adhering to company standards
  • Respond to client and internal requests for new, amended, or copies of current fee schedules or venue rate cards
  • Notify relevant personnel and clients of new or amended agreements
  • Collaborate with departments to automate brokerage rates or implement manual processes
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and send relevant brokerage letters

Brokerage Data Management

  • Input brokerage fees into relevant systems for new or amended rates and discounts
  • Perform 4-eyes checks for new rates input and regular ad-hoc checks on discounts and rates
  • Suggest technical enhancements to systems and work towards centralizing brokerage rates

Customer Investigation

  • Manage trade investigations raised by clients following invoice reviews, liaising with departments to resolve them
  • Perform brokerage checks requested by audit
  • Track and analyze transactions where brokerage has been input manually
  • Suggest improvements to systems and processes
  • Design and implement reconciliations and MI/KPIs to support business and evidence controls
  • Ensure processes are documented and aligned across business lines and entities
  • Evolve the function and improve processes

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail, high organization skills, and proactive approach
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, adapting to audience needs
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced or pressured environments
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of financial markets
  • Previous experience in a similar organization
