Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Therapy Specialist to join our Community Health service in Merton Borough. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual with experience in paediatric or similar occupational therapy.
About the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, advice, and treatment to children with varying needs. Although based in the community, the position may also include work within local specialist schools.
You will collaborate closely with established multi-professional teams within Merton Community services and outside agencies to deliver occupational therapy advice and treatment meeting the functional needs of children.
To succeed in this role, you will require experience of working with children in community and educational settings, as well as excellent communication and team working skills.
Main DutiesYou will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people within the Merton Borough who have difficulties with their functional abilities or skills development.
This may involve work in schools, clinics, and homes in accordance with the service level agreement.
You will work with occupational therapy assistants to implement therapy programs for identified children and young people on your caseload.
