To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

As the Deputy Ward Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Ward Manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward
  • Implementing best practice across the ward
  • Supporting changes within the service
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service
  • Supporting the delivery of personalised care and contributing to service improvement

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, IT literate
  • Experienced in delivering and receiving supervision
