Job Title: Engineering Night Shift Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Night Shift Leader to join our team at Greencore. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a shift team to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a shift team of engineers to achieve production targets and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Plan and prioritize shift workload to maximize machinery uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment adhere to relevant legislation and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Implement and maintain permit-to-work systems to ensure safe working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team culture, including setting expectations, leading by example, and encouraging personal development.
  • Document shift activities and performance, escalate relevant events, and contribute to daily meetings.
Requirements:
  • Hold a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification, ideally at NVQ L3.
  • Knowledge of permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • PLC awareness and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Experience in maintaining engineering systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Food or wider FMCG manufacturing experience is desirable.
