Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Team:
Ensure safe upkeep and running of school facilities.
Assist with site security, event logistics, parking management, and general portering.
Perform general repairs (electrical, decorating, woodwork) and call in specialists when needed.

Event Support:
Provide portering and event set-up services.
Set up and break down rooms for functions.
Assist with moving furniture/equipment.
Direct visitors to parking spaces during events.

Portering:
Receive and transfer goods/materials to appropriate locations.
Assist with general cleaning during events.

Site Maintenance:
Maintain site/buildings in good repair.
Undertake emergency/reactive maintenance.
Assist with planned maintenance during school holidays.
Report maintenance/health and safety concerns.
Maintain drains, gullies, gutters, and swimming pools.
Keep equipment/tools secure and storerooms clean.
Use cleaning equipment/products safely and report faults.
Sweep, collect litter, and maintain the site.

Security:
Be vigilant of strangers and report as necessary.
Ensure premises are clean and secured after work.
Provide safe access during emergencies (snow, floods).

Health and Safety:
Comply with health and safety policies.
Observe safe manual handling and working at height.
Use machinery/equipment safely and report faults/accidents.
Follow any health and safety instructions.

Additional Duties:
Work without supervision and act on own initiative.
Undertake relevant training (child protection, health and safety).
Adhere to school policies and meet deadlines.
Promote School policies and practices.
