Operational Facilities Management Consultant Role

About the Position:

Lidl - Head Office is seeking a highly skilled Operational Facilities Management Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to Regional Distribution Centre Maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate warehouse facilities management processes with regional maintenance teams to deliver effective contractor management, system support, and cost awareness.
  2. Conduct regional maintenance consultancy and collaboration visits to promote process optimisation.
  3. Develop new processes and integrate them into existing systems.
  4. Participate in the review of GB and international audits.
  5. Monitor external contractors' performance and ongoing expenditure cost savings.
  6. Develop and present concepts to senior management.
  7. Work with Lidl internal systems and platforms to generate reports and create efficiencies.
  8. Assist in organising national maintenance meetings and training.
  9. Be available to travel across the GB region up to 25% of working time.
  10. Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support regional maintenance teams.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with suppliers, contract management, and tendering (not essential).
  2. Excellent organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  3. The ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently within tight deadlines.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience presenting to senior management.
  5. Proactive, motivated, and driven individual.
  6. Strong computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  7. Full valid driving license.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 25% with occasional overnight stays.
  9. German language desirable but not essential.
