About the Role:

We are seeking an English teacher who can make a positive impact on the lives of our students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, including those with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and other SEN-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver English lessons that meet the needs of students with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support challenging behaviours and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the current English curriculum and ensure that your teaching meets the required standards.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's English curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience teaching English to secondary-aged pupils.
  • Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and challenging behaviours.
  • Able to register on the DBS update service and hold a valid Child and Adult DBS.
  • Rights to work in the UK and two years of verifiable teaching experience.

Working Arrangements:

This is a temporary to permanent position with a salary range of £160-£250 per day. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
