About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Supportive Learning Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our primary school support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the best possible education.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work with children who require additional support. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Helping students with reading, writing, and maths skills

You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment where every child matters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN
  2. Provide one-to-one support to students, promoting their academic and personal growth
  3. Collaborate with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience
  4. Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters positive relationships among students, teachers, and parents
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies for supporting students
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
