Job Description

We are seeking an experienced teacher to lead a Learning Support Class at Ysgol Nantgwyn. The class supports up to twelve pupils aged 11-16 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The successful applicant will have experience working with pupils with additional learning needs, including social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and relevant specialist professional training in line with LA requirements.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (Teachers Pay Scale + SEN Allowance) depending on experience.

This role carries a recruitment allowance of £3,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach and support pupils in a Learning Support Class with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • To work closely with the Learning Support Assistants to ensure effective delivery of learning activities and mainstream inclusion.
  • To develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the needs of pupils.
  • To contribute to the development of whole-school policies and procedures related to SEN.
