Primary School Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics in North Cardiff. As a Primary School Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges within a mainstream classroom.

About the Job

This role requires a patient, empathetic, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills. You will work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies, supporting the pupil's academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide individualised support to a pupil with ASD and behavioural challenges.
  2. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies.
  3. Assist with academic tasks and activities.
  4. Support the pupil's personal development and social skills.
  5. Maintain open communication with parents and staff regarding the pupil's progress.

Salary Information: The estimated annual salary range for this role is £22,000 - £28,000.
