As a Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist, you will join our team of over 20 Consultant Psychologists and 50 registered Psychologists across our 3 sites and Community Partnerships division. You will work clinically as part of a large Multidisciplinary team, providing care to over 100 patients with intellectual disability and/or autism and co-morbid mental health, neurodevelopmental, and offending/challenging behaviour needs.
Key tasks include assessing, formulating, and delivering treatment, and evaluating clinical outcomes. You will work within a broad cognitive behavioural model, with a strong emphasis on psychotherapy addressing impairments in autism and intellectual disability, psychological treatment for emotional and psychiatric disorder, and offence-related interventions aimed at reducing recidivism.
St Andrew's is committed to moving patients into the community as soon as possible, with several bespoke properties on site for individuals transitioning from hospital to community. Part of your caseload may involve working with these patients to prepare them for moving onwards.
We seek a HCPC registered applied psychologist with experience of working with individuals diagnosed with Autism and/or Learning Disability, major mental illness, trauma, and offending behaviour. You will have access to a larger group of clinical, forensic, and counselling psychologists for consultation and peer collaboration across our clinical specialities.

Northamptonshire is a great place to live, with good schools, reasonable house prices, and a mix of facilities within the town and surrounding villages and countryside. You will have great access to the M1 and M6, and be based under an hour's drive/train from London and Birmingham.
