Job Title: VHL Lecturer in Land Based

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer to join our Land Based Team at Lackham Campus.

Location: Lackham, Wiltshire

Job Type: Variable Hours

Salary: £16.59 - £24.00 per hour plus holiday pay

About the Role:

We are looking for a Lecturer who is passionate about Land Based, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Sports Turf or Farm Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students across a range of Land Based courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in Agriculture and related subjects.
  • Develop and update curriculum content to ensure it reflects current industry standards and practices.
  • Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Mentor and support students, helping them to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for students.
  • Engage with industry professionals and organisations to enhance the learning experience and provide students with networking opportunities.
Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who are not only experts in their field but also enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree or level 3 vocational qualification in their subject or a closely related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • A recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
