Learning Disabilities Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Horizon Care and Education. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex social and emotional needs.
As a member of our team, you will work in a therapeutically informed home, using PACE and psychologically-informed trauma-responsive approaches to care. You will be responsible for helping young people continue with hobbies, social activities, and friendships, and learn new skills.
You will also provide support with morning routines, such as getting ready for school and making sure they have a good breakfast. In the evenings, you will prepare meals and ensure the young person has a safe space to relax and unwind within the home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced team and develop your practice using our SHINE (Supporting Healing In Nurturing Environments) Therapeutic Model.
