About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Broomfleet site in Gilberdyke. As a key member of our in-house maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

You will work closely with our team of engineers to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues, using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes
  • Conducting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime
  • Collaborating with the maintenance team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

We are looking for a mechanically biased engineer with experience working in manufacturing/factory environments, holding a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive chain systems
  • Knowledge of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processes
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities
