Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Lift Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our construction group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations on our construction sites. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as a deep understanding of lifting operations and crane safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise lifting operations on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Develop and implement lifting plans, taking into account site-specific conditions and constraints.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of lifting operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of lifting operations, including lift plans, safety inspections, and incident reports.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on lifting operations and crane safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in lifting operations and crane safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations and crane safety, with a strong background in construction management.
  • Proven track record of ensuring safe and efficient execution of lifting operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CPCS A 61 - Crane Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) certification.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other construction management software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in lifting operations and crane safety.
Work Environment/Physical Demands

This role requires working on construction sites, which can be physically demanding and may involve exposure to hazardous conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift and carry heavy items, work at heights, and withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
