Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Lift and Crane Coordinator Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our construction group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations on our construction sites. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as a deep understanding of lifting operations and crane safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise lifting operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Develop and implement lifting plans, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Collaborate with construction managers and site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and report on lifting operations, including crane usage and lifting equipment.
  • Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of lifting equipment and services.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address any safety or operational issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in construction supervision, with a focus on lifting operations and crane safety.
  • Country-specific safety training and certifications.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with planning and controlling lifting operations, including tower crane, mobile and crawler cranes, MEWPS, and lifting with excavators.
  • CPCS A 61 - Crane Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) certification.
  • CPCS A 62 - Crane Supervisor certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of current industry lifting practices.
Work Environment/Physical Demands

This role requires working in a construction site environment, which can be physically demanding and requires working at heights and in confined spaces. The successful candidate will be required to lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperature extremes.
