Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Support Worker to join our 6-bed home in Dudley, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This role involves working with non-verbal or minimally verbal children who communicate through various methods, including picture boards, Smartbox devices, and Makaton.

Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care and support to children with complex needs
  • Leading a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care services
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as therapists and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in residential childcare, along with a Level 3 Children & Young People Award or equivalent
  • Experience in leading a team and managing challenging behaviors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work unsociable hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends
