About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Support Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience of providing support to others in a work, voluntary or personal capacity, and be able to work flexibly in a busy environment.

You will be responsible for carrying out assessment to identify and prioritise needs, using SMART goal planning to provide needs-led holistic support. You will also need to develop and maintain positive links with key stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and external agencies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Support: Provide comprehensive support planning services to customers, ensuring they are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities regarding the service.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided to customers, in accordance with HCS policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Housing Management Team to identify problems with Housing Benefit payments, review rent collection and address other tenancy-related matters.
