Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Early Years Practitioner to lead one of our outstanding nursery rooms at Blom and Blom in Edinburgh. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that promotes open communication and collaboration with colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be passionate about providing high-quality childcare, and have experience working with children aged 0-5 years. Estimated salary: £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of early years practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all children.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the nursery's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Early Years or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Senior Early Years Practitioner or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain relevant qualifications (e.g. PGCert or SCQF Level 9).
