Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer at BUOYANCY AEROSPACE, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Quality Manager to develop and implement quality policies and procedures.
  • Communicate quality issues with customers and suppliers, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing risk.
  • Prepare and review First Article Inspection reports, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Lead and support Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, and implementation of robust corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, processes, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Review and manage customer specifications, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage the calibration system, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct internal audits to schedule, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits, ensuring a positive outcome.
  • Support the reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • AS9100 Internal Auditor certification.
  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • IT literacy.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • A clear commitment to our company values of purpose, excellence, innovation, and team culture.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of NADCAP framework and accreditation process.
  • Lead Auditor accreditation to AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent combination of work and experience.
