About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineer to join our team at Draken Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Chief Engineer for safety, regulatory compliance and operational performance at our base and/or detached locations.
  2. They will provide support to the team with engineering decisions and provide guidance with regard to personal & team development.
  3. To have an awareness of all associated and related Aircraft Maintenance regulations and to work in accordance with the Company procedures at all times.
  4. To be particularly responsible for the maintenance of aircraft, aircraft equipment as allocated to their control by the Chief Engineer.
  5. Ensuring that all technical staff working within their supervision carries out their duties in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with the relevant Maintenance Manuals and the Company Exposition.
  6. To ensure the correct and timely completion of all aircraft documentation relating to the maintenance activities performed.
  7. To co-ordinate engineering activities, enabling the team to complete tasks to target and within budget.
  8. To review the team performance and provide feedback to the Chief Engineer.
  9. Evaluate all existing standards, practices and procedures with a view to continuous improvement and efficiency.
  10. Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day functions of the Team and deputise in their absence.
  11. Assisting the Chief Engineer in prioritising tasks and scheduling requirements.
  12. Assisting the Chief Engineer in the development of the Team.
  13. Achieve optimal Base Maintenance performance, maintain excellent customer and stakeholder relations.

Requirements

  1. Educational Vocational Qualifications – Previous experience within a base maintenance department. Further Applicable Aircraft Maintenance Experience, Line maintenance/Workshops are desirable.
  2. Unrestricted EASA B1/B2 licence with relevant type rating(s) and company authorisations as applicable.
  3. Proven track record, over 3 years at LAE Level or similar role within an aircraft maintenance environment is essential.
  4. Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance is essential.
  5. Sound knowledge of Base Maintenance operation.
  6. Good Change and Project Management Skills.
  7. Team oriented with proven communication and influencing skills.
  8. Customer focussed with exceptional personal and communication skills.
  9. Self Motivated, confident, and assertive.
  10. A demonstrated capability to work within and adhere to a defined set of organisational values.
  11. Medically fit to perform daily engineering duties including detachment working.
