Job Title: Sport & Behaviour Mentor

Empowering Learning is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sport & Behaviour Mentor to join our team in a specialist school in Nottinghamshire/Lincs Border. As a Sport & Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children during lessons and school activities, providing individualized support to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Provide physical management and care of pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group activities, promoting social skills, emotional regulation, and academic achievement.
  • Collect evidence of children's work to support their assessment and progress monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with children with SEND.
  • Ability to work with children with behavioural difficulties and provide positive behaviour support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • High levels of care, resilience, and patience, with a strong commitment to supporting children with complex needs.
