Maths Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Maths Teaching Assistant to join our exceptional support and teaching team at a supportive and inclusive Secondary School based in the Borough of Croydon. As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Maths Department and provide support to students through KS3, KS4 and KS5. This role involves gaining valuable school-based experience that will be a great asset to your teaching career, as well as the opportunity to gain Teacher Training. You will gain a fantastic understanding of the school curriculum and different teaching methods, and will work with young people with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in Maths Lessons
  • Assist pupils with SEND/SEMH needs 1:1 and in small groups
  • Work closely with the Maths Department

Requirements:
  • A graduate with strong academics
  • The desire to become a teacher with a focus on Maths
  • A passion for learning and making a positive difference to young people
  • Previous experience in a school/working with children
  • A good understanding of SEND/SEMH needs

What We Offer:
