Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily medicines management services, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients.
- Administer medications, provide advice on medication-related queries, and assist nursing staff with medication queries.
- Check all prescriptions, perform medicines reconciliation for new patients, and maintain accurate medication records.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Participate in the efficient day-to-day running of pharmacy services, assisting senior managers as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and national pharmacy procedures, contributing to the review and development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist in the collection and analysis of workload data, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to service development.
- Provide support to locum staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
- Active membership of a professional organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Desirable: experience in a secure setting, evidence of multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, and experience of clinical governance.
