We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Maintenance Technician to join our team at Stacatruc in the North East region. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of material handling equipment.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical handling products or hold an engineering position and be looking for the next step in their career. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds, such as automotive, roadside recovery, agricultural, REME, construction equipment, PSV, HGV, LGV, or plant.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Full UK driving license
  • City and Guilds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering related field
  • Diagnostic computer skills
  • Qualified in a related field or similar years' experience
  • Able to work unsupervised as required
  • Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in heavy goods/plant machinery/automotive

You will be responsible for:

  • Servicing gas, diesel, and electric powered forklift trucks
  • Maintaining and overhauling material handling equipment
  • Fault finding and resolving issues on various material handling products
  • Preventative maintenance, such as lubricating steering and lifting equipment
  • Battery maintenance, including checking voltages and fluid levels

As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for responding to breakdowns, liaising with our parts team to ensure stock levels are maintained, and completing documentation to company standards.

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus attractive benefits, including a pension scheme, free parking, and cycle-to-work scheme. You will also have the opportunity to work on mobile machinery, including brakes, steering, wheels, lift chains, and other components.
